our Gypsy cob and shetland pony …

Our Gypsy Cob Izzy is often harnessed to our carriage and gives rides out along the country lanes on sunny days; she also has a wonderful Barefoot saddle, donated by Leslie Stanworth, so we have been able to reinstate pony riding and our students are now getting their riding legs in training.

Our Shetland pony Ferris doesn’t like being separated from Izzy and is being broken to harness so that he can trot out in the Derbyshire countryside alongside his pall. We are hoping to obtain a small carriage so that he can offer rides aswell.

We also have two rescue donkeys, Holly and Hilda, who have settled at Lane End Farm Trust well. In fact we are pleased to anounce that they are both in foal - due in April/May time.

All our ponies and donkeys are loving and take enjoyment from the young people who fuss them. Our students learn basic horse care from feeding and grooming to cleaning tack and mucking out and have the opportunity for carriage rides out on our specially adapted wheelchair accessible carriage.
